‘Vita3K Android’ Released: emulate PlayStation Vita games on Android

Developers of the popular emulation software package ‘Vita3K’ released ‘Vita3K for Android’ 7+ devices. Vita3K Is the world’s first functional experimental open-source PlayStation Vita emulator for Windows, Linux, macOS and since yesterday Android. The emulator offers support for about 400 released games on the Sony Playstation Vita. The PlayStation Vita is a handheld gaming console developed and produced by Sony Computer Entertainment. It was released in Japan in December 2011 and later in other regions, including North America and Europe, in February 2012. The Vita features a 5-inch OLED multi-touch screen, dual analog sticks, front and rear cameras, and Wi-Fi connectivity. The console was designed to be a portable gaming device that would provide gamers with high-quality graphics and gameplay experiences similar to those found on the PlayStation 3 home console. The PlayStation Vita was well-received by gamers and critics alike for its sleek design, advanced features, and strong library of games, which included titles from popular franchises like “Uncharted,” “LittleBigPlanet,” and “Killzone.” However, despite its initial success, the Vita struggled to maintain its sales momentum due to competition from mobile gaming and the rapid rise of smartphones and tablets as the go-to devices for portable gaming. Sony officially discontinued the Vita in 2019, though it still has a dedicated fanbase and a growing library of indie games and other content that can be accessed through its digital storefront.
