Hyperion Entertainment Recently released a big new update of AmigaOS 4.1 final edition. The new update significantly improved the PowerPC based operating system and was released with over 200 updated components offering many bug fixes and six new OS components. The new update offers the operating system a new level of stability, usability and security. The new hotfix improves several stability issues and fixes other minor issues found after the release of update 2 in December 2020. The PowerPC based operating system is designed and optimized for PowerPC computers made by A-Eon Technology in partnership with Hyperion Entertainment. The operating system is also compatible with Italian based Acube Systems PowerPC based ‘Sam’ motherboards (best known as the motherboard of the AmigaOne 500). The AmigaOne X1000 was launched in 2012 with a 64-bit dual-core PowerPC CPU at 1.8 GHZ. The AmigaOne X5000/20 was released in October 2016, designed around Freescale’s P5 64-bit dual-core PowerPC CPU at 2.0 GHz. The upcoming A1222 features a Freescale P1022 32-bit dual-core PowerPC CPU at 1.2GHz.
