it’s hard to believe that Sonic the Hedgehog is nearly 30 years old. Racing onto the Sega Genesis in 1991, the sprightly hedgehog quickly became a veritable video game icon and new Sega mascot. Sonic travels through all sorts of worlds and the journey is beautiful with the graphics that the Genesis made possible. Textures explode off the screen and backgrounds pop – and they’re all filled with an extensive color palette. Your journey will be filled with joy in the beginning and remain fun, even when the difficulty ramps up. There are many challenges that will be thrown your way as you progress and you’re going to see ‘Game Over’ more than you’d like. The original Sonic the Hedgehog was a massive hit and is finally arriving on the Amiga 68K scene. The reverse engineered game will be freely available with the next upcoming Vampire V4 core release.
