Indie game developer Dan Salvato recently released a gameplay preview on Youtube of Magicore Anomala a new upcoming arcade shooter with flappybird elements. The game is written in m68k Assembly and will run on any stock Commodore Amiga 500, the game will be available on Steam to, made playable by wrapping the game in an Amiga emulator. Bullet hell games are a unique subgenre in gaming. The genre made a minor return to the mainstream with the release of NieR:Automata and its impressively fun bullet hell sequences. There are still shooting mechanics. However, the point is to dodge bullets flying at you as well as shoot bad guys. Thus, it’s somewhat different from your average shooting games.
