Amiga developers Raster Wizards have showcased a preview of their in-progress game, Hyper Runner, which they describe as a mix between F-Zero and OutRun. At its core, Hyper Runner is a futuristic racing game that focuses on speed and agility. The game promises to offer players a selection of sleek, hovercraft-like vehicles that zoom through vibrant, sci-fi-themed tracks filled with dynamic obstacles and intense curves. Hyper Runner wille take full advantage of the enhanced AGA chipset, even in its early build, the game gives a thrilling sensation of high velocity, something that many racing games on older hardware struggle to achieve. The audio in Hyper Runner is still in the early stages, but the developers have stated that they plan to incorporate energetic music and sound effects that complement the high-speed gameplay. From what we’ve seen so far, the music is designed to keep the pace fast and lively, with energetic tunes that evoke the feeling of racing through futuristic landscapes. The sound effects, including engine roars and collision noises, are also appropriately impactful, though they will likely be refined further in the full release. The release date is TBA.
